I'm a software developer and security researcher focusing on free- and open source software, and a free, decentralized and social web. I am a core contributor of the Hubzilla fediverse server, where I mainly focus on security, performance and testing.

In addition to the sponsored projects below, I spend a significant amount of time on the following tasks for the Hubzilla project:

• Establishing a test framework and improving test coverage of Hubzilla core and official addon modules.
• Researching, documenting and fixing security issues, including requesting CVE's, coordinating disclosures and writing advisories.
• Triaging and commenting on submitted issues and merge requests.
• Refactoring and modernizing the code base.
• Various small fixes uncovered by testing or submitted issues.

• Improving OpenJDK support for FreeBSD, sponsored by The FreeBSD Foundation.
• Establishing tools and a framework for performance profiling Hubzilla, both during development and testing, but also in production. This work is sponsored by the NLnet NGI0 Commons Fund.
• Improving the Superblock addon for Hubzilla. This work is sponsored by the NLnet NGI0 Commons Fund under the same grant as the performance work.

Past projects

• Updated libfprint and related ports for FreeBSD to make the fingerprint reader on Framework laptops work under FreeBSD. This project was sponsored by Modirum (now a part of Entersekt)
