Most of my work falls into these groups:

Chip design software

I contribute to gdsfactory and the open quantum RF PDK, which are used to lay out superconducting quantum circuits. This is a small field with few open tools, so fixes upstream tend to help everyone working in it.

Home automation

Custom Home Assistant integrations for hardware and services nobody else has bothered to support, like Electrolux air conditioners over infrared, or Anki review counts as sensors.

Wear OS apps

Standalone smartwatch clients for self-hosted and everyday services: Immich photos and Clockify time tracking.

AI agent tooling

Agent Skills that ground AI assistants in real tools instead of guesses: one for benchmarking commands properly with hyperfine, and one that explains sentence grammar using a real dependency parser.

Small tools that scratch an itch

A pre-commit hook for MATLAB, a Sphinx extension for URN citations, project templates, and patches to things I use daily such as Anki and Jujutsu.
