Hello, and thank you for being here.

My name is U Jisung. As a musician, I release music under the name CAn, while U CAn represents my wider identity as a creator and performer beyond music alone.

I am originally from South Korea and currently based in Japan. My work moves between cultures, languages, and emotional spaces. I am the founder of KJ-POP, a genre I created by fusing Korean and Japanese musical sensibilities into a single form, reflecting connection rather than division.

In the past, I was part of the project URs, where the song “Song for You” became a representative track and reached listeners around the world. I later made my major debut with “Hope” under The White. My latest album, Love is All, reflects my current direction—music centered on connection, compassion, and healing.

Even with this history, my work has not yet grown as widely as I believe it can. For many years, my creative path has been quiet, steady, and deeply personal. I have continued to create without relying on a specific record company, working self-produced, guided by sincerity rather than scale.

Starting this year, I decided to open my work more fully to the world. I want to reach people across borders—those who feel close to music that speaks softly, those who understand love across distance, and those who believe that calm voices can still carry meaning.

This is why I started Liberapay.

Liberapay feels like a place for gentle, ongoing support—not as a transaction, but as encouragement. Your support here helps me continue creating music and voice-based works focused on international love, emotional distance, and what I call a “healing voice”: music and sound meant to offer rest, warmth, and quiet companionship.

In terms of language, Korean and Japanese are my strongest languages. English is my third language, and while I use it to connect globally, I may not always express myself as precisely as I can in Korean or Japanese. I hope the emotion behind my work speaks more clearly than words ever could.
