My name is Brooke, and I am happy.

I am human. I make mistakes, but I'm working on becoming Less Wrong (coinage credit: Nick Ernst) and have started trying to document my attempts to do so. To share my journey up to this point, and day by day: how I got to where I am, and my attempts (frequently misguided!) to maintain this fundamental feeling of well-being --- with anyone interested in journeying side by side for a time.

I will never run ads in my videos. My goal is not to make money. My goal is to infect anyone I can with the happiness bug, and - just maybe - make some of you carriers as well. Small inspirational nudges, I believe, gather strength and momentum in a feedback effect, and the potential long term effects of such are breathtaking for me to think about. 

I will continue to attempt to do what I can to forever strive for this goal, as it's one of those for which the pursuit is the goal itself, and always will be.

So, please:

Do not give beyond your means.

Do not donate out of obligation. 

I am creating this account because there are some things that money would make easier for me (I currently have been driving thirty minutes after filming each video, to a school that has an open WiFi with high enough upload bandwidth that it takes minutes instead of the 5-9 hours at my house) ----- NOT because there is risk that I will not be able to keep making videos without the help.
